Tonight on Big Brother, Dan Gheesling won the $32 prize (after taxes) by a unanimous, 7-0 vote! For someone I originally thought I would despise for his right-wing, close-minded CBS bio, Dan quickly became one of my favorite houseguests, and my definite pick for the win. Robert “Memphis” Garrett was a well-deserved runner up, but there’s no way his game was as strong as Dan’s.
I was surprised and happy to see the crazy jury pick the right winner. I had confidence that Renny and Keesha would vote for Dan, and I figured Libra would be smart and mature enough to vote for Dan as well, depsite how much she annoyed me. I was scared April would be too much of a heinous @!$#%@ to recognize Dan was a better player, and we all know Ollie would vote with her to keep his Barbie doll fetish alive. At least until he moves to Arizona, aka the Land of Aprils. God help us. I guessed Michelle would vote Memphis after being originally friends with him, and then her residual anger over her eviction (anyone else get squicked out over hearing people talk about Michelle getting backdoored over and over?). Basically, I saw it coming down to Father Time to cast the tie-breaker, and thought 60/40 he’d vote for Dan to win. So I expected Dan to win anyways, but I’m happy to see the whole jury recognize that he deserved it.
However, what was up with Keesha winning the favorite juror prize? I like Keesha and all — especially her missing tooth — but I was definitely shocked by that one. I thought Renny OWNED that, and I can’t believe she didn’t even come in the top 2/7!!! I’m so sorry dahwling, but I still love you.
So what did you think? Did Dan deserve to win? Should someone at least thrown Memphis a pity vote? And is Keesha really your favorite juror?
