There’s no real purpose or mission statement to this blog — rather it’s just a collection of the random things that happen to catch my eye, whether it be television, movies, music, or general new or events. I’m not trying to keep up with the latest happenings in any of those areas — there are other blogs and sites that already do that and do it much better than I ever could. Instead I’m just writing about the things that interest me, when they interest me, even if I’m way behind in the times and it’s something everyone else was interested in weeks ago.
If I had to define the focus of LoLo’s Couch, it’d probably be television. I watch more television in a week than most people do in a month. I have 2 TiVos because I watch too many shows that air in the same time slot. I’m telling you, it’s a sickness. I’ll watch almost anything, from the critically acclaimed to the cult favorites to the mainstream trash. My favorite shows include Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, The Office, Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl, Friends, Seinfeld, Sex and the City, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, and America’s Next Top Model. See what I mean?
As for me, I’m a 26-year-old female living in Chicago. I studied journalism in college, and worked as a reporter for a year before returning to school to get an advanced degree in another field. I’m now a professional working in the city, trying to balance a hectic work life with my personal life. Besides keeping this blog, I’m also a staff writer for TVgasm.com, where I’ve recapped shows such as A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, Top Chef, and Gossip Girl.
I hope you enjoy this blog, and I look forward to reading your comments.
LoLo
